The 2009 Duke Snowflake Tournament

Hosted by Duke University, with appearances from players, Head Coach Jon Danowski and Assistant Coaches Ron Caputo and Chris Gabrielli.

Costs and Information for The Bandits (Boys Grades 6-8):

Turn and Burn will be taking one team (The Bandits) for the Middle School Division to the 2009 Duke Snowflake Tournament on Saturday, December 5th. The Snowflake Tournament is a 7 v 7 tournament, so we will only bring 14 or 15 players that are interested.

We will have two practices for the Bandits the week before the tournament on Tuesday, December 1st and Thursday, December 3rd. Both practices will be held from 7pm - 8pm at MARA.

Tournament Rules:

• 7 v 7 format: 2-2-2 with one goalie
• Penalties are enforced with a 3v2 fast-break
• After a goal the goalie starts play again with a clear 
• All substitutions are on the fly
• No hitting

Notice: We are limiting the teams to 15 players because of the 7 v 7 set-up. We were able to take a team last year and had a great experience. Since the tournament is in Durham, most people chose not to stay overnight, however the early start time for the tournament might warrant an overnight stay.
