Our Mission: The mission of Turn and Burn Lacrosse is to provide a place where players and coaches of all levels can come to enjoy, learn and improve in the game of lacrosse. We will do this by offering leagues, clinics, coaching demonstrations, as well as individual and small group lessons. Turn and Burn will teach players and coaches using the most up-to-date techniques as well as relying on the proven effectiveness of sound fundamentals. Lacrosse is a game that has a rich tradition involving sportsmanship and good character. In that regard, all Turn and Burn coaches will work diligently to exude and expect that these traditions are passed along to the future generations of lacrosse players.  Where it all started: Turn and Burn was started in the summer of 2001 by Rob Horrigan. Horrigan, an NCAA Head Men's Lacrosse Coach for eight years, started two successful Men's College lacrosse programs. Division III York College of Pennsylvania was Horrigan's first coaching stop. During his time at York College, Horrigan recruited over 60 Student-athletes including the Capital Athletic Conference "Rookie of the year."Most recently, Horrigan started Division II Belmont Abbey College. Where in the programs first year of existence he earned the 2006 Deep South Conference "Coach of the Year."
In those two seasons at Belmont Abbey, Horrigan recruited and coached 6 all-conference players as well as the 2007 Carolinas Virginia Athletic Conference (CVAC) "Freshman of the Year," and one of Inside Lacrosse magazine's "Pre-Season All-American Goalies."
Horrigan started his lacrosse career at St. Mary's high school in Annapolis Md. During Horrigan's high school career, St. Mary's was ranked #1 in the nation. Coach Horrigan finished his career as an attackman at Division 1 Towson University. Coach Horrigan was also a participant in the 1998 World Games.

Our Staff: Luke Kannor
Coach Kannor Started his lacrosse career in Yarmouth Maine's middle school program. A sudden move in high school to Boise, Idaho after freshman year made him finish out his high school career there. Boise is where he got his first coaching experience. His senior year he was sidelined with a knee injury and took on the defensive coaching responsibilities for his high school team. After graduation he went to play college lacrosse at Queens University of Charlotte. During summer breaks he would help coach the travel team in Idaho and various clinics and camps. After finishing his career at Queens in 2007 he was the assistant coach for the Providence Panthers middle school team and the Junior Varsity boys program at Providence High School. Joel HeimbignerJoel Heimbigner began his lacrosse career as a freshmen at Poway H.S in San Diego, California. There he played 4 years on varsity, starting his last three years as goalie. His Junior year, the Poway Titans won the inaugural California Championship and Joel was honored with San Diego County Goalie of the Year. From there, Joel was recruited to play at Queens University of Charlotte. At Queens, Joel was a captain, Defensive MVP twice, and a NCAA honor roll athlete. During his Queens campaign, the team went from thin air to being a top ten national ranked team, as well as ending Limestone's winning streak. After graduation in May 07, Joel began coaching the Providence Panthers Middle School Club team and Providence High J.V. team. Joel has a total of 8 years playing experience from High School and NCAA Division II lacrosse with 1 year coaching experience. Kerri GutKerri Gut has been named Coach of the Girls Lacrosse Program. Kerri’s responsibilities will include developing and coaching the girl’s programs, including Summer Chill and Fall Ball. Additionally, she will be available for private coaching sessions. Before joining Turn and Burn Lacrosse, Kerri played lacrosse for Belmont Abbey College. She was one of the team’s inaugural members and helped bring the team to the Conference Carolinas Championships four years in a row. Additionally, Keri’s team was ranked in the Top 10 in its fourth season by Inside Lacrosse. “I met Kerri while I was a coach at Belmont Abbey and know she will be a great asset to our organization,” said Rob Horrigan, Turn and Burn Lacrosse Director. “Her experience and love of lacrosse will elevate our girls program.” A native of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Kerri has more than 10 years of lacrosse experience. |
